**What are we looking for**

Reporting to the Commercial Director VP, the Head of Projects is accountable for ensuring that ITM Power delivers high quality and profitable projects with responsibility for the overall leadership, direction and management of the Project Delivery team. The Head of Projects will be the senior link between Sales, Legal, Aftersales and Operations to ensure successful project delivery for both the customer and ITM Power. This role is accountable for the delivery of a range of scale of projects, from >10MW Containerised Projects, through to multi 100MW Stack and Skid Projects, both direct to end customers and through our Joint Venture with Linde Engineering. With almost 300MW in execution, the project portfolio is expected to grow rapidly. The position is accountable for all aspects of Project and Project team performance.

**Responsibilities**
- Delivery of ITM Power projects against agreed safety and quality standards, financial targets, schedules and risk profiles
- Setting and communicating a clear vision of high-quality project management and being a personal example of this standard
- Development and maintenance of robust project management processes including in relation to stage gates, cost, schedule, risk, governance, contract management and stakeholder management
- Development of appropriate capability and professional competence within the project management team, identifying and supporting training and development where required
- Establishing and maintaining constructive and well-defined interfaces to other ITM departments
- Ensuring effective reporting against leading and lagging KPIs to provide transparency and confidence in Project Performance
- Ensuring proactive and early identification and management of risks, both within the scope of the projects and within the ITM engineering and operational activities on which the project team performance is dependent
- Leading effective and professional communication with ITM’s customers, including Linde Engineering
- Building and developing long term relationships with internal and external customers
- Providing leadership, management and support to the Projects team including training and development, coaching and performance management
- Representing ITM at external events to promote ITM’s brand and competence
- Act as the company’s main adviser on all issues relating to Project functions and keep abreast of latest developments to ensure that the company maintains its competitive position
- To lead in line with the ITM Power values

**About You**

**Knowledge and Experience**
- Degree or equivalent and relevant professional qualifications
- Significant Project Delivery experience at a senior level in related industries delivering high value commercial / industrial scale projects, EPC environment is preferable
- Delivery of ‘First of a Kind’ technology into new markets experience is preferable
- Agile approach to strategy and planning with proven experience of adapting operational plans to customer requirements whilst also achieving a commercial benefit
- A strong level of expertise in industrial and commercial projects, delivering operational excellence and a commercially strong track record in delivering successful contracts/projects through to completion
- Experience of aligning performance targets to business objectives and driving critical business areas including quality, delivery, safety and people
