An exciting opportunity has been created for two new posts to provide comprehensive project and programme advice, guidance, information and support to local Programme and Project Leads and colleagues in corporate departments, taking the lead for specific areas of work as directed by the Trust’s Head of Programme Delivery.

The post holders will be co-located as an integral member of Divisional Senior Leadership Teams, working closely with key stakeholders in order to cultivate positive business relations required to influence and support across divisional boundaries, underpinned by credibility, trust and respect.

The post holders will prepare and present project and programme related reports and documentation on a range of issues relevant to the trust as a whole, including the facilitation of task & finish groups and workshops where necessary.

They will act as an intermediary between Project Managers, Operational Managers and the Planning and Partnership Directorate Programme Delivery Team, providing support and assurance

They will develop and disseminate best practice in line with national guidance and the Trust strategy in order to help embed the new programme operating model in a consistent and inclusive manner.

PROJECT AND PROGRAMME DELIVERY
- Undertake regular project and programme plan assessments with the relevant Project / Programme Manager.
- Provide accurate, timely and appropriate monitoring reports, briefings, and presentations, including escalation as required, to a range of audiences both internally and externally as required.
- Promote and use an agreed common set of programme and project management tools, methodology and documentation.
- Support divisions in the co-production of high-quality Business Cases.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of the status of current projects and programmes within your allocated portfolio.
- Identify and analyse risks, issues and interdependencies between projects and programmes and recommend actions to overcome these, ensuring relevant logs are kept updated.
- Critically review projects and provide expertise in project and programme management to ensure projects are designed appropriately to deliver the intended benefits, aligned to organisational goals.
- Analyse highly complex facts or situations which require analysis, interpretation, comparison of a range of options and recommendations where there are conflicting views on the project and there is a need to make decisions on complex issues. Analysis will be required to understand and assimilate a broad range of policies, procedures, processes and practices of all organisations within the ICS; to assimilate and stream line programme management practice.
- Ensure projects are robustly assessed for impact both from a quality and equality perspective.
- Act as a champion to nurture new talent including responsibility for designing and delivering suitable training, coaching and mentoring colleagues in project and programme delivery and facilitation of workshops across the Trust and with partners in the Integrated Care System where applicable

BUSINESS PARTNERING
- Be an influential member of local Divisional Senior Management Team.
- Act as a two-way conduit between the Trust Planning and Partnership Unit and local divisions by providing advice and support to break down barriers to change and overcome complex challenges.
- Develop effective relationships with staff at all levels within the Trust.
- Work collaboratively and flexibly with local and corporate project and programme leads.
- Cultivate excellent links working across divisional and organisational boundaries to take a whole system approach.
- Ensure effective stakeholder management across different teams / business areas at all levels, responding to and resolving conflict between different stakeholders.
- Strike the right balance between challenge and support of your allocated Division and project leads.
