**Job Purpose**

**Responsibilities**:

- Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all invoices and payments.
- Monitor and reconcile supplier statements, ensuring any discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of payment runs, ensuring all payments are made in accordance with supplier terms.
- Liaise with internal departments and suppliers to resolve queries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Reconcile credit card statements and staff expense forms against relevant receipts.
- Maintain accurate filing systems and provide support for audits and other financial reviews.
- Assist in the month-end closing process, ensuring all supplier accounts are accurately reconciled and any outstanding issues are resolved.
- Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as required by the Purchase Ledger Manager.

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of accounts payable procedures and processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting software packages, such as Sage or Oracle, is desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

**Qualifications**
- Degree in Accounting and Finance or equivalent qualification

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
