The post holder will provide a high standard and comprehensive administrative support to the physical health team based at Campbell house in the centre of Northampton. The post holder will be organised, practical, reliable and efficient and will have a flexible approach to their role, working on their own initiative as well as working effectively as part of the wider trust. Adept at using SystmOne for appointments, patient searches, waiting lists. Inputting into, monitoring and printing reports from supported systems, run reports and obtain data for audits.

To receive incoming telephone calls, and deal with queries where possible /or take accurate messages and direct to the appropriate recipient. Deliver an effective and competent level of clerical support and consistently deliver a client-focused service which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships. Safeguard patient confidentiality at all times, including adherence to the Data Protection Act. To generate a range of documentation including letters and reports to a professional standard.

This may include the composition of letters to patients and families/carers and other professionals on behalf of the team. Minute taking/prepare agenda, appropriately at informal meetings where required, drafting, obtaining approval and distributing in a timely manner. To ensure the appropriate and timely dissemination of information across the team Deal with concerned patients/relatives and stake holders with tact, patience and discretion. This post involves access to patients and their data for adults at risk, as defined by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Have a commitment to identifying and minimising risk, report all incidents and report to the manager any risks which need to be assessed. Adhere to Trust policies and to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
