As part of the team, you’ll be pivotal in creating a cohesive and collaborative service to our users. Whether you’re in the office, fundraising or working directly with clients, everybody at KAB has purpose and value. Our roles range from working directly with clients to more office based positions. Training, professional development and commitment are highly valued at KAB. We work throughout Kent, including Medway, Bromley, Canterbury and the surrounding areas.

Guide Communicator Support Worker - Dartford

Kent Association for the Blind (KAB) is a charity that provides a comprehensive rehabilitation service to sight and hearing impaired people of all ages and abilities across Kent.

We are seeking a compassionate and flexible individual to join our Guide Communicator team. The main purpose of the role is to provide an effective enabling support service to a young service user in the Dartford area. The role includes supporting users to physically travel to and access: services, shops, facilities, resources, hobbies, study, sport, leisure, meetings, appointments, etc. in their local and occasionally wider environment.

**Hours -**

**Term time**: 6 hours per week (to be worked between Friday Evening and Sunday evening).

**Non
- Term time**:30 hours per week.

**Contract -**

This role is funded initially for a 6 month period, at which point the role requirements will be reviewed.
