**Position Overview**:
As a Support Services Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to vulnerable individuals within our community. Your responsibilities will revolve around utilizing your IT skills to enhance working practices, collaborating within a team environment, and employing your communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with service users and stakeholders. Your knowledge of housing providers and support services will be essential in providing comprehensive support to those in need.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Utilize IT skills to optimize working practices and enhance efficiency in service delivery.
- Work collaboratively within a team to provide comprehensive support to colleagues and ensure seamless service provision.
- Employ highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to engage with service users, gain their commitment, support, and trust, and foster a supportive environment.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of housing providers and support services available for vulnerable groups, and utilize this knowledge to effectively meet the needs of service users.
- Conduct support planning and risk assessments, ensuring thorough evaluation and consideration of individual needs and circumstances.
- Assess the needs of service users and facilitate access to support services, providing guidance and assistance as required.
- Undertake person-centered and holistic assessments, supported by clear evidence, to ensure tailored support and intervention.
- Provide a range of advice and support services, including equipment provision, adaptations, and moving & handling interventions, to promote independence and meet the diverse needs of vulnerable service users.

**Requirements**:

- Proficient IT skills with the ability to utilize technology to support working practices.
- Experience working in a team environment, demonstrating flexibility and support for colleagues.
- Highly developed persuading, communicating, and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with service users and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of housing providers and support services available for vulnerable groups.
- Understanding of support planning and risk assessment processes.

Pay: £20.11 per hour
