About the role

We are currently recruiting for a temporary Production Control Administrator to join QinetiQ Target Systems (QTS) within our Administration Team. QTS is a wholly owned subsidiary of QinetiQ Group PLC, specialising in the design and manufacture of a range of state-of-the-art Unmanned Aerial and Surface Target systems, including the world-leading Banshee target.

QTS targets are used to enable realistic weapons test and evaluation and operator training in over 40 countries worldwide, with QTS providing a complete managed service in over 15 of these countries.

What will I be doing?

Reporting to the HR / Administration Manager, you will provide first line administrative support to the Production team and its functions, in addition to playing a vital role in ensuring we deliver all product to cost, time, and quality controls.

**Duties will include**:
Providing administrative support to the wider Production departments,

Preparation, scanning, and filing of all shop floor documentation,

Supporting Production control on the release of plans on time, to ensure customer delivery is met, on time and in full,

Providing administrative support for monthly perpetual stock checks,

Raising of purchase orders for subcontract processing,

Assisting in the preparation and collection of production metric information,

Supporting the Stores team in administration tasks in dealing with customer owned property.

Carry out any other administration tasks as directed by the HR Manager as required.
Provide cover for reception duties as required.

What do I need?

A proven team player, you will be qualified to GCSE (or equivalent) level, including Maths and English.

You’ll have a ‘can-do’ attitude, with good organisational skills and be an excellent communicator.

**We also ask that you**:
have previous experience in an administration role, ideally within a production environment

have excellent IT skills

are proactive

have a flexible approach to work

**It would be an advantage if you**:
have knowledge of dealing with Bills of Materials, Manufacturing Orders, Purchase Orders and Sales Orders within a manufacturing environment

have knowledge of Continuous Improvement initiatives, and the adopting of LEAN principles.
