Job Description

The Ministry of Justice is seeking a skilled Contract Administrator to join the Prison Contracts Group (PCG) within the Directorate of Contracted Operational Delivery (DoCOD). The successful candidate will work in a privately managed establishment, reporting to the Deputy Controller, and be responsible for day-to-day administration and supporting the work of the Controller's team in managing the contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor compliance with operational requirements and undertake audits to identify failures by Contractor's staff to comply with contractual requirements.
  • Analyse and present quarterly performance progress, monitoring Key Performance Targets/Indicators, and prepare relevant statistical performance data and reports.
  • Ensure effective office administration processes are in place, maintain a robust electronic file management system, and prepare written materials on behalf of the Controller and Deputy Controller.
  • Support the Controller/Deputy Controller in monitoring investigations carried out by the Contractor and lead as On-site Quantum Point of Contact (QPC) for IT and telephony related issues.
  • Sign licences for the release of prisoners and represent the Controller's Team at relevant meetings.
Requirements
  • Sound analytical skills and experience of designing and using spreadsheets.
  • I-Proc trained (or willing to undertake training) and Quantum Point of Contact trained (or willing to undertake training).
  • English, spoken and written.
Working Hours

37 hour working week.
