This is a 3-year Fixed Term Post due to funding arrangements.

It's an exciting time to join the Targeted Youth Support Service to deliver a new service for young people threatened with or experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping. The Single Homeless Accommodation Programme (SHAP) delivery model will be based on strong partnerships with housing, health, criminal justice, and voluntary and community sector partners to develop and deliver improved outcomes for young people experiencing severe and multiple disadvantages in the city.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced, and highly motivated Tenancy Officer to support the delivery of specialist accommodation services as part of a developing housing pathway for young people. Delivered through the Targeted Youth Support accommodation hub the successful applicant will be part of a small dynamic team responsible for providing innovative, flexible, and creative housing solutions support to a small number of young people threatened with or experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping.

The successful applicant will have responsibilities for providing the landlord functions for a number of shared, and single occupancy properties across the city including access, rents and allocations alongside broader tenancy sustainment and enforcement. Direct experience of providing housing related advice and support combined with an ability to develop trusting relationships with young people with complex needs will be essential. In addition, an ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of key agencies and experience of multi-agency delivery in a housing and homelessness position will be essential to the post.
