Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a growing business who are currently in search of a Distribution Manager to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

**Role overview**:
The primary role of the job holder is to support the management and development of the fulfilment operation.

The role is an integral part of the broader team and holds responsibility for delivering high levels of operational efficiency and service excellence to clients, through the timely and efficient coordination and management of all warehousing and logísticalactivities.

The job holder will hold responsibility for all day-to-day operations and the coordination and management of the staff ensuring all company policies and procedures are upheld on a daily basis.

**Duties**:

- Efficient management of all associated warehouse activities, ensuring client service and operational standards are managed to the highest level
- Develop the team through line management responsibilities, identifying individuals training and development needs in order to maintain a high performing workforce
- Work with the Operations Director to develop and implement continuous operational and system improvements to further enhance business efficiencies and client service
- Working closely with the Operations team, ensure schedules are managed and the timeliness of goods-in processing, pick, pack and fulfilment of inventory effectively managed
- Maintain direct dialogue as required with clients, participating in account reviews and business updates
- Work closely with third party suppliers, namely warehouse operatives, mailing providers, couriers and printers, ensuring relationships are managed to the required level
- Maintain control of all necessary packing requisites, ensuring adequate stock is maintained at all times
- Maintain day to day responsibility for the building, ensuring the facility is maintained to the highest standard, internally and externally and all health and safety procedures followed and regularly reviewed
- Participate as required in new business pitches, showcasing the high standards and professionalism of the warehouse operation

- Strong operational and warehouse management experience, demonstrating flexibility to undertake a variety of warehouse duties as and when required

- Competent people management and leadership skills
- Ability to undertake tasks with energy and tenacity
- Demonstrate drive for achievement, responsibility and ownership
- Persuasive with the ability to identify and act on opportunities for improvement
- Diligent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise accordingly
- Ability to express thoughts clearly and adapt communication style accordingly
- Competent IT and communications skills
