THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Network Strategy Repex lead as part of SGN's core GD3 team. Reporting to the GD3 Network coordinator the role is responsible for the management and collation of a high quality, well evidenced GD3 Repex BusinessPlan including data templates, cost evidence and associated commentaries. Engagement both internally and externally will be a key aspect of this role to ensure the consistency and accuracy of the submitted plan.

- motivated and inquisitive individual who will be proactive and take responsibility for the delivery of key submissions, to defined deadlines, and be able to set their own goals to deliver their objectives.

Key responsibilities will include;
- Work with the extended GD3 team to understand the requirements of the Business plan to be submitted
- Work with distribution asset management to understand the investment requirements for the GD3 period
- Work with the business delivery teams and partners to understand the scope of what can be delivered in the price control period
- Establish, map out and share GD3 Repex 'Safe and Reliable’ workloads across all mains categories
- Identify associated service workloads which will be delivered as a result of mains replacement activities
- Coordinate with Asset managers to establish, map out and share our riser workload in the reactive and proactive categories
- Liaising with Regulatory / Finance to establish costs for the above workloads
- Coordinate and support the analysis of Totex impact of above workloads
- Coordinate with Strategic Reporting team to establish additional workloads in the above categories that are not associated with mains replacement or bespoke drivers
- Liaising with to Cost Planner (Cost evidence / CBA lead) to build CBA’s covering Repex workloads
- Support the GD3 team in all aspects of settling out the price control contract, including answering SQ’s and validating Ofgem models
- Provide commentary to the business on Ofgem decisions and impact on delivery
- Support the business in preparing to deliver GD3

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Qualifications in an engineering discipline ideally at degree level
- Experience putting engineering knowledge into practice
- Experience of data analysis and manipulation techniques
- Experience liaising cross departments
- Good personnel skills to develop effective working relationships
- Good organisation skills to ensure that work is delivered on time
- A willingness to work in new areas of the business
- A highly self-motivated approach with a positive attitude

In addition, these skills that would be beneficial to this role;
- Knowledge of the Repex programme
- Understanding of the regulatory framework that SGN operates
- Experience working with CBA techniques
