Customer Inspector Supervisor

Joining a busy department and reporting to the West Distribution Manager, this role will require you to lead a divisional team of Customer Inspectors covering the Yeovil, Taunton, Bridgwater and Minehead areas, and managing all aspects of the team including performance, absence, progression, and training.
**What you'll do**:
A significant part of this role is to ensure our customer expectations are met or exceeded, empowering the Customer Inspector team to deliver outstanding service, and managing any dissatisfied customers while operating within our policies and procedures.
You will also:
- work with the wider Supervisor team, regularly reviewing performance trends and highlighting improvements or solutions to avoid compliance failures
- maintain excellent working relationships and endorse collaboration across the business to allow the efficient transition of work between departments, which includes customers' direct contact with the business
- ensure the team works within health and safety requirements, promoting wellbeing and company values
- largely work from our Yeovil depot, as part of our West Distribution team, however regular site visits with the team or to meet customers are required.
**What you'll need**:
You should be confident managing your own workload and communicating with multiple stakeholders across the business, while also having a proactive approach to leading a team.
In addition, you will have:
- demonstrable experience delivering a high level of customer service, acting as a customer liaison and a proven record of managing customer complaints
- a clear understanding of both household and non-household incidents, including regulations, legal and insurance processes and procedures
- knowledge of performance commitments, with a particular focus on C-MeX and D-MeX, and how the Customer Inspector team impacts and influences these
- a background in the water industry, or similar, including a basic understanding of streetwork requirements, internal pipework, and repair and maintenance techniques
- a clean UK driving license.
