We have ambitious growth plans for the year ahead and are searching for a highly organised, energetic and self-motivated individual to join our product team.

With a strong focus on gifts, the buyer is primarily responsible for the procurement of new and existing home, stationery and lifestyle products.

Experience sourcing locally-made and sustainably considerate ranges whilst retaining targets margins will be essential to your success. You’ll be mindful of keeping quality to the highest standard in line with the company’s overall brand values.

With proven procurement experience, ideally in the gifting industry, you’ll be a fantastic communicator and proactive in bettering our gift offering, able to hit the ground running. The role informs and supports the brand vision with buying planning, driven by historical category and consumer trends. You’ll have accountability for gift planning and forecasting, pricing and delivering on gross margin and inventory turnover. Knowledge of product licensing would be desirable.

Additionally, the buyer will be responsible for coordinating tenders, negotiating prices and ordering raw materials used in the production of framed artwork and canvases in our production facility.

**Responsibilities**:

- End to end sourcing and management of all gifting products
- Actively seek out new suppliers
- Attain and negotiate favourable terms, prices and contracts with suppliers
- Ensure all information is attained from suppliers on lead times, materials, supply chain transparency and shipping
- Present solutions to the wider team
- Liaise with design team to place orders for samples
- Feedback and amend samples with factory
- Set pricing to ensure target profit margins are met
- Understand budgeting, cost structures and financial implications of purchasing decisions
- Seek out new suppliers for existing products to better margins where required
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Analysis sales data to inform future buying decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Order stock and track stock levels to ensure efficient sell thru
- Plan the purchase calendar for the year to ensure stock is dropped for key events
- Be responsible for the discontinuation of lines and management the discontinuation process through correct channels, communicating with the wider team
- Working to deadlines, linking in well with other members of the team
- Link in with the merchandiser to ensure correct stock levels across all channels
- Keep all inventory up to date and process orders in a timely manner
- Ensure all product information is communicated to other teams to bring the product to market
