Senior Buyer

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Buyer to a join a class leading engineering solutions business located in the Redruth area. Joining an established and expanding team in a new state of the art facility this is a great time to be joining the business.

**You will have responsibility for the following**:

- Awards contracts and purchase orders and managing a small team once experience is gained.
- Determining the best routes for sourcing products and materials
- Inventory management and updating records and invoicing dates.
- Providing material quotes and lead times to assist in bidding for new work.
- Cost analysis on projects verses budgets to present to the Procurement Manager
- Assisting with the commercials of freight
- Monthly MRP completion
- Managing supply chain concerns and resourcing products when required.

**Essential Skills & Experience**:

- Motivated individual with excellent IT skills
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience of working with MRP systems
- Able to read drawings.
- Works well in a team and strong communicator.
- Able to adapt to change and detail focused individual.
- Full UK driving license and valid passport.

**Desirable Experience**:

- A relevant industry qualification (CIPS)
- Experience setting up and maintaining supplier information.
