Wherever you work in the Action for Children family, you'll be helping to change the lives of the most vulnerable children in the UK.
Last year, we helped more than 670,000 children and families across the UK. From direct work in communities to national campaigning, we are focused on making sure every child has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.
**Why Action for Children?**
Working here is more than a job. Everyone in the Action for Children family is passionate about protecting and supporting children. It's the sense of purpose that drives us every single day. Because we know that, when we work together, we can make a huge difference to bring lasting improvements to vulnerable children's lives.
**A bit about the role**
If you have a passion for play work, this role is your opportunity to develop as a childcare professional.
Swansea Short Breaks allows children to enjoy a safe, meaningful experience and an opportunity has arisen for a Community Short Breaks Worker to join our dedicated, friendly, warm and professional team.
The Community Short Breaks Project provides support to children and young people with disabilities. This includes support to access community-based activities in small groups, activities at the project base or caring for a child in their own home (domiciliary care).
We are ready to support and develop you to build on the experience you already have. We would love to hear from you if you want to help change lives by working at the forefront of child-centered care.
As the service runs after school and on Saturdays, this role is also an alternative to weekly 9 to 5 style working.
