**About the Role**:
The Community Short Breaks Project provides support to children and young people with disabilities. This includes support to access community-based activities in small groups, activities at the project base or caring for a child in their own home (domiciliary care). Community Short Breaks Workers work directly with children and young people in this service.
**As a Community Short Breaks Worker, you'll be**:
- Administering medication to the children and young people
- Supporting with personal care needs
- Leading on fun activities in the community
- Delivering engaging and development opportunities to those in your care
- Working toward helping children and young people reach their individual targets
**What You'll Bring**:

- Experience of working with children/young people with disabilities
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 Social Care qualification or willingness to work toward **(paid for by us after your probation period)**:
- Understanding of Safeguarding and GDPR
- Ability to work in a group and team environment
- Flexible and adaptable approach to your work and job
- Ability to travel independently so your own vehicle and full licence is essential
