We currently have an opening for enthusiastic, self-motivated Brewery Assistants. As a Brewery Assistant you will be involved in all aspects of the beer making process. This will range from measuring and loading the ingredients, brewing the ale, checking stock levels, cleaning casks and vessels, bottling/canning, labelling and packing, to loading and delivering the finished product to customers. It is important that you enjoy practical work and that you are prepared to do a job which may be repetitive, physically demanding with heavy lifting at times, some work will be outside. The brewery can be noisy and caution is necessary with some of the equipment and machinery. This is a basic, entry level position.

Main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to
- Cleaning casks & kegs
- Packaging into cask, keg, bottle and can
- Assisting the brewing team throughout the brewing process
- Beer brewing - operating and monitoring brewery equipment
- Assembling, dispatching and delivering orders
- General warehouse duties
- Serving off sales customers when necessary.
- Quality control of the beer
- Basic stock control
- Receiving and handling raw materials
- Cleaning and sterilising vessels, casks, kegs, and production area
- Perform general maintenance tasks

This is a full time position. You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, some flexibility on start / finish times will be required.

Starting salary will be National Minimum Wage to be reviewed after 6 months, depending on experience. THIS WILL BE A KICKSTART POST AND THEREFORE ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE UNDER 25 AND CLAIMING BENEFITS.

Full on the job training will be given.

Personal Requirements
- This is a physically demanding role so applicants will need to be strong, healthy and physically fit, and able to do repetitive tasks
- Enthusiasm to learn all aspects of craft brewing
- Good practical and manual skills
- Be reliable and responsible regarding Hygiene, Health, Safety and Environmental issues
- Good observational skills
- Flexibility and ability to work on a range of jobs
- Numeracy - be able to weigh and measure
- Good communication skills Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Appreciation of basic office computer systems

**Salary**: £9,379.50-£17,901.00 per year
