Assistant Brewer

Gower Brewery is a 20bbl brewery based on the Gower Peninsula just outside of Swansea. Since launching in 2011, we have quickly become one of the fastest growing breweries in the country.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our expanding brewery full of passion and potential. Below is an outline of the tasks associated with this role, it is a non-exhaustive list. Being a growing business, it is an ever-evolving list and key to the smooth running of our brewery is having a strong, collaborative team who have a genuine desire to help each other.

You will be trained in-house, working alongside our head brewer. There will also be the opportunity to attend external training courses to broaden your knowledge.

Day to day brewing tasks will include:
Loading the grist case

Digging out the mash tun

Beer transfer

Vessel cleaning

Stock control and traceability

Recipe development

Researching raw materials

Other warehouse activities may include:
Cask / Keg washing

Cask Racking

Kegging

Assisting on the bottling line

Must haves:

- A knowledge of beer
- A desire to learn about the technical and scientific aspects of brewing
- Diligence; including a relentless, uncompromising dedication to cleanliness and

sanitation
- Ability to handle/lift full casks and kegs. Not both at once
- Good work ethic

Desirables:

- Full, clean UK driving license
- Forklift license

**Salary**: From £10.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
