**What you’ll be doing**:

- Supporting leadership to establish and implement policy, principles and standards to ensure effective governance, risk and assurance of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) programme
- Cultivate relationships with** **internal & external stakeholders to engage in business continuity planning, events, and governance to ensure BCM objectives and organisational goals can be achieved
- Perform forward facing activities (horizon scanning) to anticipate and assess the threat & risk of incidents/ emergencies to the organisation, & aligning with business risks, national risks and community risk registers
- Collect and analyses data (business impact analysis) to identify trends, opportunities and deploy improvements, where necessary
- Collaboration with stakeholder to design strategies for the maintenance of essential operations during incidents and the development of business continuity plans, procedures and protocols to mitigate risks and minimise disruptions
- Supports the businesses incident response and crisis management capabilities, and coordination of post-incident reviews to evaluate response actions, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures
- Enhancing quality assurance of the BCM programme through periodic reviews and tests of established policies, plans and procedures, reporting findings to stakeholders and making recommendations for improvements to strengthen Organisational Resilience

**Your skills and experiences**:

- Thorough understanding and expertise in governance, risk management, and assurance principles, coupled with proficiency in associated policies, processes and procedures
- Knowledge and understanding of Legislation, Regulation and Guidelines, the business continuity management lifecycle, Business Continuity Institute (BCI) Good Practice Guidelines (GPG) and ISO 22301 Management System Standards
- Experience of effective communication to build robust relationships and negotiate outcomes with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrate proficiency in developing comprehensive reports, policies, procedures and business continuity plans, showcasing the ability to articulate complex concepts into clear, actionable documents tailored to the organisation’s needs
- Possess experience in incident response and crisis management
- Chairs groups and meetings to identify learning from training, audit, exercises and incidents, and driving learning to strengthen business continuity strategies and plans
