Spacecare is the contractor of choice for many well-known property management companies, private owners, national companies and local governments, undertaking services on business parks, retail parks, industrial estates and commercial buildings..

Monday to Friday 07:00-15:30

**The Role**

Due to expansion we are looking for Grounds operative based from our Newport depot, you will be responsible for Grounds Maintenance duties on various commercial sites around the region.

The below is a brief summary of the role, more details will be discussed at the interview stage.
- Performance of on-site grounds care services including, lawn-care, weed control, maintenance of shrub and flowerbeds and planting works.
- Performance of on-site hard landscaping general and the removal of low hazard waste.
- The interpretation of ground care specifications and the deliverance of these specifications on site.
- Completing all relevant job documentation.
- Hedges, shrubs, lawns, and general upkeep of client sites.
- Reporting of any H&S issues or site standard issues to line manager.
- Ensuring safe on-site working procedure.
- Taking job completion photos to give an overview of the entire site standards.
- Ensuring high productivity rates meeting allocated times for tasks.
- Ensuring maintenance and upkeep of equipment under your control.
- Ensuring maintenance and upkeep of vehicles under your control.

We are looking for someone with a full driving licence and the desire to grow the area and to grow in line with the company. Experience with pulling a trailer would be a benefit.
- Ability to work as part of team, also work independently.
- Full UK driving licence and able to drive a van.
- Passionate about the environment with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience in Landscaping / Grounds Maintenance preferable, but not required as FULL training will be provided.
- PA1 / PA6 would be advantageous (not essential as training will be given)
