Due to expediential growth in our business, we have an exciting opportunity and are recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance **Team Leader** who has a can-do attitude who will join an existing mobile team working in **Newport**.

**Job Purpose**

As a Grounds Maintenance **Team Leader**, you will be responsible for supervising a small team ensuring the maintenance of the grounds, developing excellent productive relationships with the team. You will provide support to the line manager in relation to the team’s compliance of company procedures and policies as well as ensuring that the requirements of the client and the specification are fully met for the enjoyment, recreation and safety of the sites, employees and visitors. You will be working ‘hands-on’ with a small team of gardeners to provide a top-class horticultural environment for our clients.

**Skills and experiences**:

- Ability to work as part of a team or on their own
- Full driving licence is essential
- Trailer Towing is desirable
- Passionate about the environment with a keen eye for detail.
- NVQ or Diploma Level 2 Horticulture / Landscaping (or equivalent)
- Spraying Certificates - NPTC PA1 &PA6 are preferred
- Experience in Landscaping / Grounds Maintenance
- Ability to implement Health & Safety requirements to ensure safe working practices to enable smooth running of works on site
- Knowledge of heavy-duty gardening equipment

**Nurture Landscapes** specialises in grounds maintenance, winter gritting and interior and exterior plant display services, mainly to the corporate sector.

**Gavin Jones** provide landscape construction services to a wide variety of clients across the UK, working alongside landscape architects, designers and main contractors. They also provide grounds maintenance services to military sites and public open spaces and are proud holders of the Royal Warrant.

**Rokill** provide pest control services to both commercial and domestic customers as well as the public sector. They hold the Royal Warrant and are of the UK’s leading pest control companies.

**Salary**: £12.60-£13.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Supervising: 1 year (preferred)
- Ground Maintenance: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- PA1 and PA6 Spraying Certificates (preferred)
- Driving Licence (required)
