Position Overview:
We are seeking a Cash and Carry Cashier to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently and accurately handle cash transactions and scan products in a fast-paced cash and carry retail environment. The Cash and Carry Cashier Handler plays a crucial role in maintaining a smooth checkout process for our customers.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Cash Handling:

- Receive cash payments from customers and provide accurate change.
- Ensure cash registers are properly balanced at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Follow established cash-handling procedures to minimize errors and discrepancies.

2. Product Scanning:

- Scan products using Point of Sale (POS) systems or handheld scanners.
- Verify the accuracy of product codes and pricing to prevent pricing errors.
- Assist customers with any scanning or pricing inquiries.

3. Customer Service:

- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers at the checkout.
- Address customer questions and concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure a positive and efficient shopping experience for customers.

4. Bagging and Packaging:

- Safely and securely pack customers' purchased items into boxes.
- Handle fragile or perishable items with care to prevent damage

5. Maintaining Cleanliness:

- Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
- Remove any debris or clutter from the checkout counters.
- Report any spills or hazards for immediate clean up.

6. Cash Register Maintenance:

- Report any technical issues or malfunctions with cash registers or scanning equipment.
- Follow procedures for requesting repairs or maintenance as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous cash handling or cashier experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in using cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Strong numerical and counting skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and product scanning.

Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a wholesale cash and carry environment, which may include standing for extended periods and occasional heavy lifting. The role may require working weekends and holidays.

Salary up to 26000 depending on experience.

**Salary**: Up to £26,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- London, N17 0UT: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
