Van Vliet, a leading international horticultural company, is seeking an experienced Cash and Carry Manager to join our team in Southampton. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our cash and carry operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of cash and carry professionals to deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize profitability, control sales, margins, and overheads.
  • Manage day-to-day product availability through accurate sales forecasting and ordering.
  • Create a customer-focused working environment that encourages teamwork and delivers high levels of customer service.
  • Support area managers in maximizing commercial sales activities, identifying opportunities for growth, and researching new markets.
  • Monitor competitors and pricing to provide insights to the area manager and internal teams.
  • Oversee and manage debt within the cash and carry.
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained and team members are trained in line with our induction process.
  • Liaise with HR to ensure compliance with statutory laws and regulations.
  • Promote a safe working environment and lead by example, ensuring all incidents, accidents, and near misses are reported.
