Cash and Carry Manager - Southampton

Van Vliet is a leading international horticultural company, specializing in the supply of fresh-cut flowers, greenery, sundries, and potplants. With a global presence, we have a significant market share in the UK, Ireland, and other countries.

As a Cash and Carry Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth. You will work closely with our Managing Director to ensure the success of our Southampton Cash and Carry operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maximize profitability through effective sales, margin, and overhead control
  • Manage day-to-day product availability through accurate sales forecasting and ordering
  • Create a customer-focused working environment and encourage team members to take pride in their work
  • Support area teams in maximizing commercial sales activities and identifying growth opportunities
  • Oversee and manage debt within the Cash and Carry
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained and team members are trained in line with our induction process
  • Liaise with HR to ensure compliance with statutory laws and regulations
  • Promote a safe working environment and lead by example in health and safety procedures
