Due to growth, we are looking for a Commercial Assistant with excellent communication, common sense and customer service skills.to join our team. Your role will involve working with an established team to manage and deliver the financial and commercial aspects of individual projects and larger portfolios of frameworks.

**Main Objectives of the Comercial Assistant role**:

- Monitor and report on progress producing statistical information to input in systems and documents.
- Working with the Commercial team to update project costing reports as required.
- Preparation of Activity Schedules, Bills of Quantities and Resource profiling.
- Preparation of Applications for Payment for submission to Client(s).
- Providing adequate administrative support to the management team or function
- Sub-contract administration including developing sub-contract documents, reviewing, and agreeing on valuations, managing variations, and negotiating final accounts.
- Analysing the commercial progress of allocated projects working closely with the project delivery team.
- Arranging internal meetings and taking minutes
- Manage day-to-day queries and complaints

**Do you have what it takes?**
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office pack, be able to make use of excel spreadsheets
- You will have excellent telephone skills and be able to obtain detailed information from telephone discussions
- Be able to compile specifications for void properties for contractors
- Problem-solving skills, to allow you to deal with complaints and challenges in a calm and professional manner
- Prioritisation skills and flexibility are required in order to meet commitments and deadlines
- Organised and excellent administration skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

**Desirable but not essential**:

- Social housing/voids experience, preferable but not required
- Experience in NEC contracts would be beneficial.
