Brighton, United Kingdom 379 University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Come and join us

Are you interested in working as a Mammographer at The Park Centre for Breast Care, in Brighton? We have a vacancy for a qualified Mammographer (or a qualified Radiographer who is willing to complete the Post Graduate training to gain the Post Graduate Mammography qualification) to be part of the Breast Imaging team, providing breast screening to well women as part of the NHSBSP for the women of East Sussex, Brighton and Hove. We also provide a full breast imaging service supporting the breast surgical and outpatient teams at PCBC and PRH.

It's a very special role that requires a patient centred approach, excellent communication and clinical skills, as well as an ability to work as part of a team. University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is able to offer a Band 6 position for a qualified Mammographer, holding current registration and the Professional Practice in Mammography post graduate certificate. If you are qualified Radiographer, without Mammography experience and feel ready for a new challenge or a change in career we would offer a Training Contract on Band 5, which would become a Band 6 on completion of the Post Graduate Mammography qualification we would support you in gaining.

We have had complete equipment replacement at PCBC over the last year, and now have 3 Mammography rooms fitted with new GE Pristina 3D sets, 2 sets having stereotactic biopsy provision.

Our 3 Ultrasound machines at PCBC have also just been replaced with Samsung RS85 v2 sets, so all our imaging equipment is brand new.

We would welcome new team members to help us provide both Symptomatic and NHSBSP services for the women of Brighton, Hove and East Sussex.

This role currently attracts a short term Recruitment and Retention Premium £2,000 per annum.
