Workshop Maintenance Controller
Aim of the role:
Workshop Maintenance Controller is a key role within the business, you will successfully support the rental division operation with the day to day running of the workshop and workloads for the onsite staff, dealing with off hire’s, damage recharges for thedepartment, MOT bookings and workshop job card loading and parts ordering.
Key Requirements:

- Managing the workshop loading by dealing with Off and On hire work, MOT and annual service and tacho event bookings with 3rd Party suppliers.
- Using your technical knowledge to support the engineers in highlighting damage recharges, obtaining the evidence and process a recharge through our fleet management system.
- Using your knowledge to locate the most cost-effective replacement part options.
- Raising workshop job cards, order numbers to suppliers and closing down the job cards.
- Contacting customers for order numbers for outstanding damage recharges and resolving.
- Storage of the legal compliance documentation.
- Ensure all equipment checks such as Puwer tool calibrations and equipment checks are completed as per policies and procedures.
- Ensure health and safety is adhered to at all times.
- To update and maintain the asset database and ensure the relevant vehicle/ asset certificates are available for inspection to demonstrate legal compliance.
- Support on an adhoc basis with the head office maintenance controller team.
Skills and Experience:

- Proven history of working in a workshop environment
- Desirable previous workshop controller role
- Desirable previous LCV or HGV role
- Understanding of vehicle maintenance including compliance and legal documentation
- Excellent IT skills
- Knowledge of Jaama Key2 desirable
- Understanding of a job card process
- Recharges and invoice management
- Good team player
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of parts and parts ordering (Specialist Fleet)
Key Responsibilities:

- To support the achievement of the annual financial budget (operating profit) for the business unit
- Ensure the group fully complies with Health and Safety legislation across the group
- Ensure all group policies are updated when legislation changes or new regulations are introduced
- Ensure all risks and actions are recorded and actioned with auditable trail
- Ensure the group has a plan towards fully complying with Environmental legislation
- Enable entry into the alternative fuel market and work to deliver regular marketing messages
- Support the procurement team as and when required within my area of responsibility
- Ensure that the company is compliant with its Operator Licence undertakings
- Ensure that all work carried out is fully compliant with all company and legislative requirements
- To monitor workshop performance and 3rd party maintenance providers, including MOT performance, variance to inspection cycles, VOR's and DVSA involvement.
Accountabilities:

- To comply with SHE (Safety, Health and Environmental) policy and procedures, all legal requirements and best practice within the business unit
- To ensure best value solutions for all financial matters both internal and external
- To build collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders at every level of the business
- Co-ordinate and produce accurate and timely reports and analysis
- Monitor and ensure brand consistency in internal communications.
