We are looking for a proactive, dynamic **Head of Specialist Support;** You will work with extraordinary people who achieve fantastic successes.

The Head of Specialist Support Service is responsible for leading the group wide Positive Behaviour Support function. To ensure our Positive Behaviour Support offer has a measurable positive impact on people we support alongside developing our approach to reducing restrictive practice and improving STOMP scores. Provide clinical support to the team and support them to maintain and develop their professional learning.

**Leadership**
- Experience of working in services for people with a learning disability, autism and challenging behaviour
- Lead and develop our approach to Practice Leadership
- Provide clinical supervision to the team
- Ensure PBS team continue to develop their practice through professional development routes, attending PBS Network meetings and engage in as well as contribute to Liaise training & development offer
- Lead on developing innovative solutions to interventions and assist the Quality and Governance Director to build on different approaches that align to PBS to ensure Liaise offers the highest quality service to people we support.
- Undertaking themselves and supporting team to complete high quality Functional Behaviour Assessments
- Ensure effective partnership working with operational colleagues that supports implementation and change within individual services and the wider group. Identifying any operational barriers and supportive solutions to overcome this.
- Develop a suite of KPI’s for PBS, restriction reduction and STOMP
- Provide routine and adhoc incident analyses
- To engage regularly with the Quality Analyst and provide monthly updates on relevant team Key Performance Indicators and agreed outcomes.

**Quality and Compliance**
- Be qualified or willing and able to work towards Instructor Level of PROACT SCIP ®-UK
- Link in with BILD/RNN and other relevant agencies to ensure our work complies with and continues to be accredited by these bodies
- Engage with external providers of training and accreditation as needed
- Develop a PBS Assurance framework so we can measure impact and quality of thew work
- Support the redevelopment of our approaches to support planning and systems
- Demonstrate the ability to complete behaviour assessment tools and write reports relating to behaviour to a high standard
- Contribute to data and soft intelligence gathering to support improvements across services

**Business Management**
- Manage the Specialist Support team budget and contribute to budget setting annually
- Ensuring recruitment, induction and retention of colleagues is managed effectively
- Support the business occupancy targets through timely support at assessment and transition stages
- Develop appropriate recommendations for the development of service culture
- Escalate concerns professionally to operations colleagues and seek to support a resolution.
- To represent the company in meetings with regulators, local authorities and other external stakeholders.

**Working Environment**
- Home based with frequent travel across the Group to services. It is expected that the post holder will spend a proportion of their week in services
