An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Ward Flow coordinator to join our busy, friendly and enthusiastic team on Acute Medical Unit at Tunbridge wells Hospital.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to work within a newly created Ward Flow Coordinator role. You will work within a multidisciplinary team supporting patient flow through the hospital and working with the clinical teams to facilitate simple and complex discharges.

You will be supported by the Ward Manager and the nursing team.

Experience in a hospital setting and knowledge of Sunrise system, patient transport booking systems and electronic discharging systems is desirable but not essential as training will be given.

**You must**:

- Have the ability to manage an ever-changing fast paced workload in a busy environment
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be IT literate
- Willing and keen to learn new skills
- Be able to work well under pressure, with the ability to prioritise your own work load independently
- Be approachable and open to an ever changing work environment

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.

The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 500,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.

The Trust’s core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We work from two main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients - the first of its kind in the country.

We employ over 6,500 full and part-time staff in a huge range of clinical and non-clinical roles across both of our hospital sites.
