Apprentice Gp Receptionist

**Main duties & Responsibilities**:
Maintain confidentiality at all times and deal with visit requests
Receive patients and visitors courteously and efficiently
Booking appointments for clinical staff
Answer the telephone and deal with all enquiries and visit requests
Liaise with other organisations such as hospitals, social services etc
Computer data entry and maintenance of patient records
Sort and deal with incoming mail both internal and external & deal with outgoing mail
Prepare and administer Prescriptions, scan all clinical documents and filing into patient clinical records
General housekeeping duties (keeping work station, consultation rooms, waiting room and reception office tidy)
**Desired skills**:
A great opportunity for a person with excellent communication skills who enjoys contact with the public
Ideally some previous experience in customer
Must be able to work effectively in a busy environment
Must be able to follow procedures exactly and attention to detail is essential

Educated to GCSE Standards in Maths & English
