Our musculoskeletal (MSK) team has a vacancy for a full-time, 37.5-hours-a-week, MSK Assistant Practitioner. Although part time hours can be considered. As part of our friendly team, you’ll need to show compassion, empathy and a ‘can do’ attitude in helping our patients to achieve their goals. Providing this patient care is at the heart of what we do.
- You’ll be expected to lead therapeutic group exercise sessions - both virtually (via video link) and face-to-face - and to provide one-to-one rehab sessions.
- You’ll also use the ESCAPE pain programme, or equivalent, to provide education and management strategies
- You’ll adapt exercise programmes to individual patients within your competency, using your skills and experience, and you’ll have access to regular supervision by qualified clinicians.
- You’ll be expected to be able to use a laptop computer, since our Trust uses electronic record-keeping, and you’ll be expected to record details of patient care after each clinical consultation. We can provide training and support to help you here.
- Preparation of bespoke hand splints according to specifications provided by therapists.
- Will be required to work earlier morning, later afternoon, evening or weekends depending on the needs of the service.
