Job description

**We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Nursery Assistant to join our team.**

**About the role**

As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged between 0-5 years old. You will work closely with our experienced team of childcare professionals to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, and grow.

Valid driving licence and own transport, or be able to provide alternative, suitable method of travel is an essential condition for this role.

**About the Team**

Early Birds Nursery is one of three North Somerset Council nurseries, based in Long Ashton close to Bristol. We are proud of our strong Children’s Centre links and the shared core values which are embedded throughout our nursery. We work closely with our families and have effective partnerships with a range of agencies including Family Support Workers, Social Workers and Health Visitors, towards improving the outcomes for our children.

**About you**

**Requirements**:

- Relevant Level 2/3 Childcare/Early Years qualification preferable.
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery, preschool, or similar setting.
- Knowledge of early years curriculum frameworks and best practices in childcare and education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A compassionate and nurturing approach to working with children, coupled with a genuine passion for their well-being and development.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
