We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer role to join us on a Permanent Basis (Full/Part time negotiable) to assist in the provision of financial accounting services to The Pioneer Group.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Officer, you will be responsible for day to day processing and record keeping of core financial transactions in rent, purchase, sales and cash book, reconciling totals.

We are looking for an individual who is proactive in dealing with queries from colleagues within own designated area and will provide support with the use of our purchase ordering system to ensure suppliers are paid in a timely fashion and support colleagues with related financial transactions.

**The successful applicant will**:

- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar finance role, processing purchase or sales ledger transactions.
- Be able to prioritise and manage own workload to fit Finance Team reporting timetables.
- Be able to report issues to Senior Finance Officer in a timely manner.
- Have good numeracy skills with the ability to maintain accurate financial records.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office (or equivalent) e.g. Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Be able to use specialist financial / accounting software.
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt style to meet the needs of the recipient.

Experience of a housing association or similar not-for-profit organisation would be an advantage.
