Neal's Yard Remedies are looking for an experienced In-House Copywriter to join their friendly, energetic Marketing team. Preferably someone with experience of the Retail Industry, and a keen interest in Health & Beauty.

They will play a key role in maintaining the Copy Library and liaising with internal regulatory advisors and our legal team to ensure compliance of all copy with the ASA and other regional regulatory bodies.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Implement the brand narrative and tone of voice across all areas of the business;
- Create brand messages that are in line with our brand essence and that clearly communicate product benefits, brand values and ingredients stories;
- Develop product names and benefits for new product developments;
- Work with regulatory advisors to ensure all copy is compliant with regional regulatory bodies, is legal and honest;
- Work with Training on presentations, product fact sheets and scripts to ensure consistency of language across all areas of the business;
- Work with the Operations teams within the business to gather and check information in order to produce accurate and compelling customer-facing copy;
- Gather references from other brands to inform new campaign or product copy development;
- Ensure the brand’s language and tone of voice guidelines are up-to-date;
- Maintain the Copy Library - our ‘central truth’ for all products.

**Person Specification**:

- Experience in writing customer-facing marketing copy, ideally in health and beauty;
- Experience writing copy for digital-first organisations;
- An innate creative flair and ability to think outside the box;
- A keen eye for detail with a proven ability to proofread;
- Basic knowledge of advertising rules and restrictions;
- Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to juggle several projects at once;
- Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively;
- Able to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure;
- Build and maintain relationships internally;
- Strong interpersonal skills cross-functionally and at all management levels;
- Good influencing and negotiation skills;
- A keen interest in the health & beauty market, but also an eagerness to look further afield and gain copywriting inspiration from other industries.
