EGGER UK is a leading player in the manufacturing industry, specialising in timber and wood-based materials. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team in the role of Public Relations and Communications Senior Specialist. This is a 12 months Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover).

**Your Tasks**
- Plant Public and Community Relations: Be responsible for managing our public and community relations activities. This includes preparing and distributing press releases, organising press events and journalist visits, and acting as the primary contact person for local and regional public authorities. Additionally, you will handle media requests and emergency communications, as well as organize local photo and video shoots.
- Media Planning: Take ownership of the strategic planning for all paid media activities, such as advertisements, advertorials, and online media. This involves coordinating the negotiation of contracts, as well as booking and handling media placements in collaboration with Marketing Specialists.
- Media Monitoring: Regularly monitor the coverage of relevant local, regional, and national trade media and provide reports to the group.
- Social Media: Working alongside your colleagues, you will play a crucial role in raising the profile of EGGER (UK) on various social media platforms. This will involve supporting recruitment efforts, enhancing local perception, driving product marketing, and fostering customer engagement and retention.
- Content Creation: Identify opportunities to develop compelling and engaging content across all categories. Collaborating with Marketing Specialists, you will ensure consistency in brand messaging.
- Internal Communication: Oversee the preparation and distribution of internal newsletters and intranet news pieces. In addition, you will contribute articles for the Group employee newsletter and cooperate with the Human Resources department on employer branding projects. You will also assist Plant Management with presentations, speeches, and other materials.
- Events: Support both internal and external events through appropriate PR activities, maximising engagement and return on investment.
- Proofreading: Ensure accuracy and quality in all written materials. You will also collaborate with other stakeholders as necessary.
- Editor Tasks in EGGERnet: Play a proactive role as an editor, creating and designing target-appropriate articles accompanied by suitable visuals. Collaboration and coordination with other editors and colleagues will be essential to maintain a consistent message and direction. Additionally, you will maintain and update local or group areas in EGGERnet, fostering communication and facilitating connections with other platforms.

**Our Requirements**
- Preferably a diploma/degree level education in Business/Marketing/Communication.
- Valid driving licence.
- Competent use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- High standard of written and verbal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Project management skills.
