_Having been established in 2020, DKB Toys & Distribution is fastly becoming a well known & trusted company within the UK toy market. The UK subsidiary of Canada's - Everest Toys, one of North America's most successful and well established wholesalers. We are looking to expand the team to cope with exponential growth of DKB. DKB Toys has a number of top brands in its portfolio including the fantastic Crazy Forts, Alex Global product and Mightymast table games. The business also distributes for top US brands such as Melissa & Doug, Monogram, Uncanny Brands & Crazy Aaron's Putty (Recently launched at the start of July)._

A unique opportunity has arisen to join DKB Toys & Distribution limited as our new Key Account Executive. DKB & hmv’s growing business together has seen the need for someone to work solely on the hmv account. We are seeking an experienced, tenacious, forward-thinking individual with a passion for all things Pop Culture with a steely drive to succeed. You will need to be able to think strategically - seeing the bigger picture - and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business..

Key aspects of the role will include:

- Being the key point of contact between the two companies. Working with some of the largest Toy / Pop culture suppliers to make sure that DKB and HMV are receiving the best service.
- Work closely with hmv to understand forecasts, their requirements & orders for each season.
- Build excellent relationships with all parties involved to ensure we are receiving the best service from our suppliers and in turn giving them all the necessary information.
- Ensure staff are on board throughout the organisation and understand the need for change.
- Discuss promotional strategy and activities with both hmv & DKB.
- Liaise with the Finance Team, Merchandise planning, Warehouse and Logistics Departments where needed.
- Attend Toy Fairs and Conferences to select and assemble a new collection of Products for HMV to purchase.
- Work closely with the DKB buyers to develop & improve our profitability and margin.
- Business strategic planning and positioning the offer in the overall Product mix.
- Manage plans for stock levels across the whole product lifecycle.
- A broad knowledge of and passion for Pop Culture especially across Figurines and Plush.
- A good understanding of financial performance and market data.
- Proven ability in building and maintaining strong relationships with external suppliers and internal parties.
- Strong literacy and numeracy, with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships with all areas of the business.
- Proven negotiation and influencing skills.
- A high level of organisational skills.
