Quality and Compliance Officer

We are currently recruiting for a Care Compliance Officer to be based from our Central Office in Forest Gate Pewsham. This is a permanent role that will focus on the ongoing maintenance compliance of our frontline staff and internal employees, you will maintain KPIs in line with business objectives and thrive for continuous improvement.
Duties include working with management and staff to identify regulatory risks and following internal controls to ensure compliance is maintained within the organisation through the comprehensive auditing compliance process.
**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Acting as first point of contact for staff compliance queries
- To ensure that all services regulated by bodies such as the CQC, Health and Safety, GDPR are meeting appropriate standards and fully comply with relevant laws and guidelines
- Monitoring the organisation’s compliance with regulations and internal policies to ensure they are up to date with the relevant laws
- Educating employees on compliance regulations and the impact of non-compliance on the organisation
- Recording their findings properly and following up with management to ensure the issues are rectified
- Auditing, Checking and signing off staff files, in line with government and CQC quality statements.
- Assisting in conducting audits to understand the level, significance and scope of risk
- Ensure accuracy and currency of records, both paper and electronic systems and all databases
- Organising and booking training courses (online and practical)
- Performing administrative tasks such as maintaining files and of ongoing compliance projects
- Completing and verifying background checks for internal staff e.g. references, qualifications, criminal records etc.
- Provide best practice compliance support, guidance and expertise to all staff to ensure a seamless process
- Collaborating with management from other departments to ensure ongoing compliance and investigating irregularities
**YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS**:
- Experience in compliance role within healthcare 2-3 years is preferred
- Critical problem solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret information rapidly
- Attention to details and the ability to comprehend information thoroughly and understand its significance
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, target driven environment
- Proven success at hitting compliance targets
- High ethical standards
