**Salary and benefits**:Up to £120,000 per annum, dependant on experience, company car lease/cash allowance scheme, attractive annual bonus (Executive Incentive Plan) + private healthcare (for self and/or partner) + attractive pension (Up to 10% company contribution) + 25 days leave plus bank holidays.

**Location**: Regionally based, with a mix of home working and working from one of our regional offices.

**Working Hours**: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, expectation to participate in a standby rota

We have a fantastic opportunity to be our **Head of Wastewater Operations (Treatment) **for someone who has a passion for Operations & Maintenance and leading sustainable improvements to the water environment in large, complex operational teams. You will drive the performance of Yorkshire Water’s most expansive assets and their associated environmental interactions. With a strong track record of running high performing teams to deliver brilliant environmental and Health and Safety performance at a cost Yorkshire folk are prepared to pay, you will utilise the most appropriate mix of in-house and outsourced skills to deliver the best possible outcomes for Yorkshire.

**Leading**:

- **Our people**: 200 direct and indirect reports, comprising of two Regional Treatment teams who provide the O&M and optimisation input to our 600 WwTW’s to safely receive, treat and recycle our regions wastewater.
- The regional Pumping team who provides the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) and optimisation input to our 2,300 SPS’s to safely receive and transfer our regions wastewater
- The **continuous improvement of our operations**, working with our central, dedicated function that is tasked with making our operations even more efficient and effective

**What will the role involve?**

This role will have financial accountability for £30 million operating budget and £200 million capital expenditure, leading the transformation for the function, enabling modernisation of ways of working and reducing the cost of failure through implementation of Dynamic Asset Maintenance, adapting to new environmental drivers and embracing our operational asset management system (ERP).

**Right for the Environment**
- Work with the Head of Asset Management to operationalise great environmental performance, eliminating pollution incidents from our telemetered assets to regain four-star EPA and maximising the environmental benefit from the department
- Contributes to our net zero aspirations, plans for energy efficiency, EV transition and reducing process emissions from our operations
- Design and implement fit for purpose processes that are simpler for colleagues, better for the environment and provide greater value for customers
- Work with our delivery partners to deliver better environmental outcomes and making operations simpler and easier for colleagues
- Ensure Yorkshire Water has an active role in industry-wide and regulatory discussions as well as consultation groups related to the development of policy
- Create business cases, business plans and board materials when required, actively participating in the Senior Leader community
- Represent the business externally in a professional and brand appropriate manner
