Accountancy Recruit is partnering with a specialist care provider in the recruitment of a Management Accountant based in Ipswich. The purpose of the role is to prepare the monthly management accounts for 11 legal entities, together with analysis/commentaryto inform strategic decision making and present to the Senior Leadership Team. The role will contribute to the enhancement of the overall business performance, as the business enters a time of transformation and will provide the opportunity to develop professionallyto the role of Financial Controller.

**Main Duties**:

- Prepare and analyse financial forecasts and information to assist business profitability, sustainability, and future growth.
- Provide accurate management information reporting to assist with critical decision making; working with the Managing Director to identify and appraise business risks and opportunities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly statutory and management accounts.
- Produce weekly cashflow forecasts, monitor our cash position, report any variances vs plan.
- Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cashflows, variance analysis and commentaries.
- Prepare and manage the company yearly financial audit in line with year-end expectations and with the support of the external accountancy function.
- Produce month end and year end journals.
- Compile strategies that will reduce business costs.
- Manage capital expenditure.
- Build effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Review accounting processes and practices, improving where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and covenants.
- Lead, manage and motivate a team overseeing the day-to-day accounting transactions

**Skills and Requirements**:

- Ideally either full or part-qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- A strong technical accounting background and experience of working in a similar position in the care sector or a similar industry is desirable.
- Previous experience of managing accounts for a group company structure is desirable.
- The ability to provide professional advice and guidance in the decision-making process.
- The ability to work well under pressure and achieve deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence with using finance systems and packages (especially Sage).
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Exceptional analytical skills along with attention to detail.
- Experience in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
- A "can-do" attitude with the desire to develop in line with the role and a willingness to assist in the drive for continuous improvement.
- Staff management would be an advantage.

**Renumeration**

Salary £45-48,000 pa

Hours: 37.5-hour week - Flexi time

Holiday: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
