We're excited to advertise this role for Research Co-ordinator within our Acute and Emergency Medicine Care Group, supporting the innovative work our research team does for our patients.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who will enjoy the challenge of working within the dynamic Acute and Emergency Medicine research team as a Research Administrator at Northern General Hospital.

The Research Administrator will carry out administrative duties and support the research project(s) by arranging meetings, taking minutes, keeping in communication with the University and patient public/representatives on project progress.

Having a previous research experience within a hospital setting and being familiar with medical terminology is desirable but not essential.

**Secretarial duties include**:

- preparing meeting agendas, minutes and papers for meetings
- Respond promptly to data queries and requests for data to inform interim analysis.
- Liaising with patient/public representative groups to arrange meetings and update on progress
- To liaise with the funder and the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) on study progress
- Ensure the timely upload of data for specific studies onto the NIHR Research Portfolio.
- Ensure data collection and reports adhere to the Trust’s Information Governance Policy.

This role will sit within our skilled and enthusiastic administrative/secretarial team, with options to work from home where possible.

The research team that this role supports is a multi-disciplinary team made up of consultants, Paramedics, ENPs, and Scientists who are working together on an innovative project to improve patient safety and care in the Emergency Department.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 12 months due to the post being recruited as part of a limited term project within the Trust. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts taking into consideration the requirement for the post to be maintained as a part of the project’s implementation and the timescales associated with this.
