**About the role**

As a finance assistant, you’ll be responsible for a number of administrative functions, including (but not limited to):

- Create and maintain excel reports
- Create and maintain detailed information on the status of credit control activity
- Chasing overdue invoices, send statements, payment requests and make phone calls
- Liaise with internal insurance/ finance/ management teams
- Ensure aged debt is kept to a minimum
- Maintain accurate records for all chasing activity on the practice management system
- Work closely with clients to resolve any account queries
- Taking and allocating of payments
- Attend meetings for credit control, accounts and insurance.
- Ad hoc accounting duties

**Who we are looking for**

Ideally, you will have:

- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Previous experience automating credit control
- Strong communicator both written and verbal
- Excellent organisational skills
- A positive and proactive attitude to work
- Confidence working within credit control
- The ability to multitask in a reactive environment
- Great attention to detail and self motivated
- Understanding nature due to the type of business industry we are
