Strategic Finance Partner

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in shaping financial strategies?
We are collaborating with a dynamic manufacturing organization seeking a Finance Business Partner to fill a newly established position.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Finance Business Partner, you will:
- Contribute to business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Drive sales and operational performance while managing forecasts.
- Ensure financial performance is accurately reported, including insightful business commentary.
- Analyze sales, gross margin, and profitability metrics.
- Evaluate direct labor efficiency and productivity through detailed analysis.
- Monitor inventory levels, movements, and assess slow-moving stock.
- Provide valuable decision support through comprehensive analysis and insights.
- Deliver precise variance analysis to enhance understanding of business performance and cost structures.
- Collaborate with Production and Procurement to establish standard costing and conduct variance analysis.
- Work alongside the Operations Director to assess shop floor productivity and justify machinery investments.
- Engage with the Production Manager to evaluate labor utilization and efficiency.
- Develop and monitor operational and financial KPIs, challenging business performance against these metrics.
- Communicate financial insights effectively to stakeholders across the organization.
- Partner with budget holders to proactively identify potential financial risks.
- Influence and engage with stakeholders to drive effective financial decision-making.
- Ensure financial models accurately reflect cost structures and continuously refine assumptions.
- Support commercial teams with customer contract pricing and costing reviews.
- Participate in monthly site performance evaluations and weekly sales opportunity meetings.
- Develop commercial models and reports to enhance business intelligence.
- Assist senior leadership with ad hoc projects as needed.
- Support ERP implementations and operational process mapping.
- Assist in lease/buy, make/buy, and CAPEX contract evaluations.
- Provide support during statutory financial audits.
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
- Professional qualification or QBE ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong financial modeling capabilities.
- Experience in business partnering.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present new ideas confidently.
