The Elvetham Hotel is an elegant country house hotel in Hampshire, rich in history and set in 35 acres of beautiful gardens. The hotel is one of the most historic sites in Hampshire entwined in the British Royal Family. The site can be traced back to as early as the 800's AD. Today the Estate consists of 91 bedrooms shared between the Main House and The Stables, as well as four unique and flexible function rooms.

We are currently recruiting for Accounts Assistant to join our Truly Talented team.

Specifically, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Accounts Coordination
- Input monthly invoices.
- Prepare monthly BACS runs.
- Reconcile all major Suppliers to their monthly statement.
- Ensure all accounts on Direct Debits are fully reconciled.
- Ensure all monthly CHAPS payments are prepared and signed in advance.
- Ensure all key supplier relations are intact through good communication and send out supplier remittance advice.
- Develop and build company and suppliers relationships.
- Complete the hotels revenue sheets.
- Understand the Profit and Loss sheets and complete relevant information.
- Continuously reduce the number of one off payments issued.
- Support with hands on attitude in all financial matters when and where required.
- Liaise with 3rd parties as required i.e. suppliers and auditors.
- Follow all company procedures relating to targeting, measuring and reporting.
- Ensure documents are managed and filed correctly.
- Promote the image of the Company and the hotels by the provision of quality customer care standards both internally and externally.
- Assist the Finance Manager with any other reasonable tasks required.

Safety and Security
- Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence.
- Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
- Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
- Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
- Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.

- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
- Follow company and department policies and procedures.
- Protect company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.

- Speak to guests, suppliers, 3rd parties and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language.
- Exchange information with other employees, suppliers and other 3rd parties using electronic devices.
- Talk with and listen to others to effectively exchange information.
- Discuss work topics, activities, or problems with coworkers, supervisors, or managers discreetly and quietly, avoiding public areas of the property.
- Provide assistance to coworkers, ensuring they understand their tasks.
- Prepare and review written documents (e.g., daily logs, trackers, memo’s, reports), including proofreading and editing written information to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- Ensure work tasks are completed on time and that they meet appropriate quality standards.
