**About The Role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Folkestone College for a Lecturer in Creative Computing Design who can develop and deliver a range of exciting creative design projects for students using technology.

Projects will involve students designing virtual environments using game engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine. Also, the lecturer should ideally understand coding and scripting to support these creative activities but is not essential. We have strong links with local charities, businesses and town groups who we work with to develop live industry and community-based projects. These are exciting projects through which students develop professional practice, employability skills alongside the feeling of belonging to and being part of their local community.

The EDGE School of Creative and Business is a dynamic and fast developing department. In a recent Ofsted inspection, the department was central to hosting an inspector who saw and recognised the valuable link between industry and students learning. The College received an outstanding grade in every aspect of the inspection which reflects thorough planning and implementation of relevant creative technology projects for our students.

We pride ourselves in the support we can give those who are new to teaching, with ongoing training and coaching through our Teacher Academy. **About You**:
Ideally you will have experience of teaching or have delivered training in the workplace although this isn't essential as training will be offered to the successful applicant. You must have a positive outlook, be empathetic towards learners and have strong class management skills.

You could qualify for the ‘Taking Teaching Further’ scheme. This could help you with paid study time and additional support in your new role, so you can complete your teaching qualification alongside your work.
