We are delighted to be recruiting for this new critical role within the Technical Directorate which will head up Safety and Quality across BA’s engineering and maintenance business. BA has one of the most diverse fleets around and this role requires inspiring leadership and safety and quality expertise to ensure our customers fly in the safest and most reliable aircraft in the skies. In this role you will be accountable for inspiring and fostering a business wide culture of “Safety First” and inspiring a team to align to these priorities.

As the leader of Safety and Quality, you will be responsible for:

- Owning and leading the end-to-end H&S and quality process/procedures.
- Setting safety and quality priorities across Technical.
- Designing and delivering the safety and quality strategy for BA Technical.
- BA Technical Audits and inspections to identify H&S risks and/or safety campaigns implementation.
- Finding innovative solutions for complex health & safety/quality problems in operationally critical areas.
- Motivating and leading a team to not only execute the health, safety and quality plans but to create an environment where our colleagues feel included and proud to be part of our thriving and diverse teams.

- Relevant experience in a part 145 and part M environment.
- Demonstrated experience in Risk Analysis.
- Senior Managerial experience.
- A track record of certification of aviation organizations.
- Communication skills with internal and external senior levels
