Receptionist/administrator - Physiotherapy

**Applications are invited for a motivated and enthusiastic person to provide maternity leave cover in a Receptionist/Clerical role.**
Working in a small, friendly team and supporting the Physiotherapy service at Fairfield General Hospital, you will provide general administrative duties to this very busy Outpatient Department. As such, you will need to be hard working and flexible.
You must have substantial administrative and clerical experience including a good knowledge of software programs/IT systems such as Excel, Word and Outlook. You will need to use your initiative and have the qualities to work in an unpredictable environment. Previous experience of NHS systems and processes is desirable.
You will at times be acting as the first point of contact for our service therefore you will require excellent communication and customer care skills. You should also be committed to team working; adaptable to the needs of the service; and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
**Main duties of the job**:
Provide a range of administrative and clerical services
- Meet and greet patients and visitors to the department
- Input data related to referrals, appointment booking and discharge processes
- Make patient transport and interpreter bookings
- Collaborate with colleagues to organise and prioritise tasks

- Minimum Level C GSCE English or equivalent
- NVQ Level 2 in Administration or equivalent
- IT skills qualification or equivalent
**Desirable criteria**:
- RSA level 2 or equivalent.
**Knowledge and experience**:
**Essential criteria**:
- Substantial work experience in an administrative role.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Applications in particular Word and Excel
**Desirable criteria**:
- Experience of using NHS Trust specific data systems
- Previous experience in a medical/social care background
**Skills and Abilities**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to liaise effectively with patients, members of the team and external partners.
- Ability to present information in a clear and logical manner
- Ability to demonstrate organisational skills
