**Job description**:
The Capacity team support the business by providing advice and transactional administration on a wide range of functions.

As a member of the Capacity team, you would report to the Capacity Lead, and work alongside four Capacity Managers. You will be predominantly responsible for supporting Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) colleagues in their activities, while also supporting national projects and initiatives.

You will assist in activities required by OPSS to successfully make regulation work, protect people and help businesses understand their obligations.

Where capacity allows, you will also provide administrative services as part of a multi-functional support team to managers and staff across OPSS, responding to initial queries/requests as first point of contact on administration and policy matters.

**Advice and Guidance**
- Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries by providing advice utilising relevant information, tools and resources.
- Work closely with Capacity Managers and the Casework team when the level of advice required is of a more complex nature.
- Build a network of key stakeholders, including those within senior management.

**Administration and Transactional Processes**
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to provide administrative support for OPSS, taking joint responsibility for all administrative processes.
- Provide support for processes.
- Support administrative and transactional aspects of the processes.
- Preparation and issuing of documents.
- Administration of records changes including the production and issuing of revised documents.
- Respond efficiently to miscellaneous information requests within GDPR guidelines.

**Data Management**
- Ensuring all data and changes are processed with integrity and are easily auditable.
- Produce information/data for reports to support business processes as necessary.
- Managing sensitive information securely.

**Hybrid Worker**

The role will be based in Birmingham.

Please be aware that this role can only be worked from within the UK and not overseas.

Informal hybrid working arrangements will be available as agreed with the vacancy manager and in line with the requirements of the role.

Most DBT employees will be working a hybrid pattern, spending 2-3 days a week (pro rata) in an office, on average. If your office location is London, you will be eligible to receive London weighting.
