We are looking for experienced Care Assistants for a home that specialises in the care of the Elderly with Dementia.

**The Role**:
You will support the existing team in ensuring that the service user's needs are met and that they are engaged and kept active throughout the day.

**As a Care Assistant you will**:

- Assist service users individually with their daily routines
- Follow personalized care plans to ensure that the individual service user receives the care they require.
- Take an active role in assisting the service-users with their hygiene and mobility
- Take part in activities with the service users to promote engagement
- Ensure the health, safety and dignity of the service users
- Carefully observe the service users to ensure that any condition updates are reported and raised with the appropriate team leader

**Hours**:
You will be working on a as required basis between Monday to Sunday on a variety of hours such as:
07:30 to 14:00

14:00 to 20:30

07:30 to 20:30

**Pay**:
£10.33 per hour (Mon-Fri, Days)

£10.64 per hour (Mon-Fri, Nights)

£10.64 per hour (Sat&Sun, Days)

£11.64 per hour (Sat&Sun, Nights)

**Requirements**:
In order to be suitable for the role of Care Assistant at the home you will need:

- At least 6 months of experience working within care, ideally with experience of caring for Autistic service users.
- Have an Enhanced DBS dated within the past 12 months*
- Posses an Emergency First Aid Certificate dated within the past 2 years
- Posses a Food Hygiene level 2 Certificate dated within the past 2 years
- Posses a Practical Moving and Handling Certificate dated within the past 6 months
- Possess Mandatory Training Certificates (Such as Infection Control, Moving and Handling and Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults) - dated within the past year.
- Possess a real passion for the care of others
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience working with Dementia and Challenging Behaviours
- A positive attitude and self-motivation skills

We are able to run an Enhanced DBS on your behalf at the standard rate and are able to offer training at a subsidized rate.
