**Electrical Maintenance Engineer**

**Monday-Friday Double Days - 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm
Essex**

**Commutable from - Braintree, Witham, Chelmsford, Basildon, Wickford, Harlow, Brentwood**

**£39,000 - £42,500 + Overtime**

**Our client is a leading packaging manufacturer, part of a larger group, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. Due to a recent investment in the site, new production machinery installations,they are looking to treble their output and bring onboard additional electrical maintenance engineer into their team.**

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Electrical & mechanical maintenance, PPM's, and repairs
- Working on a variety of high-speed production & packaging machinery, conveyors, automation & controls, plant machinery and robotics
- Part of a close knit team that is growing & developing
- An exciting challenge for someone that is looking to help develop the existing engineering function
- Dealing with motors, drives, PLC's, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, gearboxes
- Project work - new machine installs, upgrades & continuous improvement work
- Assisting with developing new PPM's, helping with the new asset care management systems
- Work closely with contractors and onsite service engineers daily
- Monitor efficiencies and suggest areas for improvements

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:

- Must be an electrically biased maintenance engineer or electrical engineer
- Have worked in manufacturing / FMCG sector previously
- Be comfortable with working on mechanical or electrical problems / faults
- Have a positive, hardworking, willingness to learn attitude
- Completed a time-served-apprenticeship
- Have 17th or 18th Edition
- Qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering
- PLC - electrical fault finding
- Able to confidently work safely on electrical power systems and in control panels
- Minimum of 10 years experience working in electrical maintenance
- Happy working sometimes unsupervised and on own initiative
