A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Project Support Officer to join the Research Data Team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB).

Previous experience working in research is advantageous. However in-house training and competencies will be given to enhance your skills and knowledge.

This post will be primarily based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the potential for cross working across multiple UHB sites may be required. This is a 12 month fixed-term post in the first instance.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
This post holder will support the Research Data projects team including supporting with the RD&I Health Research Data hubs PATHWAY which provides safe access to clinicians, analysts and researcher who are committed to using UHB data to improve patient care.

Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience gained through any combination of alternative study, employment, or voluntary work

OR

Healthcare/Science based A levels plus evidence of continuing professional development to degree level

Evidence of continuous professional development

**Experience**:

Understanding and experience of research lifecycle.

Understanding of research management systems.

Awareness of Principles of Data Protection and Good Clinical Practice.

Demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality.

Experience of working in a busy environment working independently and exercising judgement and decision making skills.

Ability to write and evaluate simple reports.
